2023 Final Fling
Our annual Final Fling end-of-season party starts at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, April 15th. The start time coincides with the Fling It! bonspiel awards ceremony, followed at about 7 pm by a dinner of Red Hot & Blue barbecue -- pork, chicken, brisket, and fried chicken -- with a bunch of fixins and homemade desserts. After the awards ceremony, the ice shed will be open to wreak havoc, mayhem, bedlam, and downright pandemonium on the ice as we exact revenge for all the picks, fall-offs, fast lines, bad lines, frost, and detritus we had to deal with over the season. We will provide a few sets of ice skates (loaned from the Ice House), and for those who simply enjoy ice skating (of course you may bring your own skates). We would like to completely empty the beverage cabinet (standard donations, please), but the pickins may be mighty slim after the bonspiel, so feel free to bring any adult beverages of choice. The party will continue forever or until the last person leaves, whichever comes first.
Please register for the Final Fling by Tuesday, April 11th because we need a head count to know how much barbecue and fixins to order, and please bring a dessert to share. The cost is $5 per member and $10 for guests; please pay at the door. If ice skates are needed, then please email [email protected] with skater name(s) and skate size(s)
